I attended a very smart parenting class once. The best parenting tip I learned in that class was this:
Treat all of your kids the same, by treating them differently.
That’s the same philosophy I use to help individuals, groups, and
organizations improve their performances. This isn’t canned consultant
– speak. It’s not a one-size-fits-all approach. I have found that
those types of “programs” usually fall into the under-promise and
over-deliver category.
Although I believe that there are certain
principles that lead to lasting effectiveness, I usually find the
road to get there is different for everyone. I tend to find that
there is a process of discovery, followed by real creativity that
gets us down the natural path to improved performance. There are
no short cuts.
"Matt was able to look at my business from a micro and
a macro point of view and help me set both long term and short
term goals. After diving into the numbers and sitting down to
talk with me, Matt made things very easy to understand. I knew
what I had to do and now I have a plan to do it. Matt intuitiveness
was apparent from the beginning and even the simplest suggestions
have made a much bigger impact on my bottom line than I thought
possible."
